Class 1
Class 1 is the first stage of schooling. From here the journey of a student starts. At this stage, students have a very sharp mind and quick learning ability. They can adapt to any environment easily. So, at this beginning stage students should be provided with quality education which not only helps them in future ahead but also helps them to explore their ability. By keeping all these points in mind the class 1 syllabus is designed by the CBSE board.
Class 2
The primary focus of CBSE class 2 syllabus is to explore the inner talent of the students and make them creative. The students are being taught with stories and poetry. This creates curiosity among them to learn and know new things. The syllabus also aims to help them to read the book and develop the writing ability so that they can express their viewpoints clearly and confidently
Class 3
At this class, students are eligible to read and write. So, they are being taught with some of the basic topics like playing with patterns, rupees and coins, smart charts in maths subjects. Similarly, other subjects are also designed to help them comprehend the things that they learned. The subjects like English and Hindi are there to develop the required language skills in them.
Class 4
At this stage, students have a very sharp mind to learn new things. They grasp very quickly whatever they see and hear around themselves. So, class 4 syllabus is build up in such a way that it helps them to explore more possibility around them. They learn the topics in a playful manner. And thus they could able to retain it for a longer time duration.
Class 5
Till class 5, students are in the lower primary class. The class 5 syllabus emphasis on developing the questioning ability in them. Students can learn in a better way by asking their doubts. This will also generate the scientific and reasoning approach in them. Also, they explore various new learning methods for solving a particular problem.
Class 6
From class 6 students must start building the habit of self-learning. Just depending on the classroom learning will not help them. If they want to excel in their career then they must start studying by themselves. In doing self-study, the syllabus will play an important role. It will provide direction to them by helping in deciding which topic to study and in which sequence.
Class 7
In class 7 students don’t have the pressure of studies. So, they can utilize their golden period in building up the concepts. Everything that is described in class 7 syllabus they should try to understand its essence and meaning. Instead of mugging up the topics just for the sake of gaining marks, they should focus on building the concepts. The more their basic be strong, the more they could benefit from it in the future.
Class 8
In class 8 every student wants to achieve higher marks. They have competition feeling with their classmates. For achieving this they put all their effort into studies. But most of them could not able to score good marks. This is because they haven’t studied as per the syllabus and most of the question are asked from it. Thus, syllabus plays an important role in the performance of students. Everyone should know the syllabus and study according to it.
Class 9
From class 9 children are considered to be mature and grown-up. The syllabus of class 9 is also designed in the same way. Instead of spoonfeeding and rote-learning, class 9 syllabus focus on creativity and self-learning. This the main reasons why practicals are added in class 9. So, it’s necessary for the students to have a look at the syllabus before they start their studies. It will give them detail about course structure and help them in planning their studies in a better way.
Class 10
Students appear for the board exam in class 10 for the first time. At this stage, they need proper guidance so that they put efforts in the right direction while studying. Knowing the class 10 syllabus will help them in doing so. Also, they can study the topics simultaneously with the class and finish the syllabus on time. In this way, they will get more time for revision and practicing the previous years’ question papers and sample papers.
Class 11
As student gets into class 11, they feel start feeling the pressure of studies. This is because of more number of subjects and vast syllabus. Here students mostly have part 1 and part 2 textbook of a single subject. They often get confused about where to start and what to study. In this, class 11 syllabus plays a crucial role. Students must follow the syllabus and study the topics which are mentioned in it. In this way, they could able to complete the entire syllabus in time and also able to score good marks.
Class 12
Class 12 is the final stage of schooling. Knowing the syllabus is a part of exam preparation. Students who are aiming to score high marks in CBSE class 12 must be thorough with the syllabus of all the subject. During studies, it will help them in keeping a track of what they have studied till now and what they need to cover. Moreover, it will keep them focussed and they will not get diverted to unnecessary topics which are not at all important from exam perspective.
